PADFRégine Alexandre has worked in international development for over 12 years and more specifically in the SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) support sector for over 8 years. She was in charge of the tourism, hospitality and handicraft component of the MarChE program, a value chain USAID project in Haiti on enterprise development, strategy for SME development in various sectors, research, capacity building to reinforce Haiti internal capacities and ensure competitive growth while promoting competitive MSMEs.

She has also worked as a consultant for several international organizations in Haiti such as Concern Worldwide, UNICEF, UNOPS, the Canadian Embassy, UNIFEM and CRS among others.

Régine brings over 6 years of experience in the banking sector, more specifically in credit and investment. She also brings experience as a project evaluator for small enterprises for the Fondation du Maire de Montréal pour la Jeunesse where she had the duty of selecting grantees. She was vice-president of the Haitian Chamber of Commerce in Québec, an organization with the mandate of providing assistance to entrepreneurs of Haitian origin in Québec.

Régine joined the USAID-LEAD program as a consultant in April 2013. She is responsible for supervising the LEAD team in Haiti as well as providing orientation and strategy to the program. She is in charge of identifying potential clients and partners, revising entrepreneurs’ profiles to be submitted to the selection panel. She also travels to the targeted corridors in the country to meet with entrepreneurs, identify SMEs and to provide support to the LEAD team.

Ms. Alexandre obtained a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a Certificate in Human Resources from Université de Montréal.
